Dr. Rollie Norris
As Dr. Norris embarks on his 22nd year of practice, he has made some exciting changes to further enhance the level of care Ark Animal Hospital has maintained throughout the years. We have served Jefferson Parish and the surrounding New Orleans area with great pride, merging high quality medicine with old-fashioned concern.
Dr. Zachary Carroll
Dr. Zachary Carroll was born in Elgin, Illinois and moved to Louisiana in 1996 where he attended St. Catherine of Siena and graduated from Bother Martin High school in 2004. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal, Dairy, and Poultry Science from Louisiana State University in 2008. He earned his DVM at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and completed his clinical year at Auburn University in 2011.
Following veterinary school, he completed a one-year rotating internship at MedVet New Orleans. Dr. Carroll feels that his internship not only gave him the opportunity to work closely with boarded specialists, but also helped him gain invaluable knowledge and experience.
In 2014, he joined the team at Ark Animal Hospital where his goal has been to provide the best patient care possible. His philosophy is to treat each patient as if it were his own pet. Dr. Carroll’s practice interests include internal medicine, ultrasound, soft tissue surgery, anesthesia/pain management, and oncology.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Carroll enjoys spending time with his wife Alida, their son Conrad, daughter Blair, and their pets, Dixie and Roux. You may see Roux at the clinic—she loves to come play every day! In addition, Dr. Carroll loves to be outdoors, whether it is golfing or attending a music festival.
Dr. Robert Vennen
Dr. Robert Vennen grew up in Slidell, Louisiana and attended Northshore Highschool. He completed a four year animal science degree at LSU then attended LSU Veterinary School, graduating in 2014. After graduation Dr. Vennen worked for 5 years at Riverlands Animal Hospital in LaPlace, Louisiana. He enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, but he has special interests in orthopedics, nutrition, and surgery. He joined the Ark Animal Hospital team in November of 2019. Dr. Vennen currently resides in River Ridge with his wife Lauren (also a veterinarian), and their 2 dogs, Riley and Benny. On his free time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting, fishing, wood-working, and ,of course, cheering on the tigers baseball and football.
Dr. Anna Landry
Dr. Anna Landry grew up in New Orleans and has always loved caring for animals. When her childhood dog became sick and passed away, she grasped the empathy side of medicine and knew she wanted to help owners treat and care for their pets. She graduated from the LSU School of Veterinary Medicine and studied acupuncture at the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She worked in Metairie as an associate veterinarian for two years before joining the team at the Ark.
She has two Golden retrievers, Georgia and Loui (short for Louisiana). Georgia is tennis ball obsessed and usually falls asleep with a ball in her mouth. Loui is an 87-pound cuddle bug who loves stuffed animals; his favorite is a 5-foot-long plush penguin he likes to carry around her house.
In her free time, she enjoys eating at new restaurants with her boyfriend, working out, running, watching movies, and traveling to spend time with friends and family across the country.
